Hope For Today 5K is happy to be donating our 2017 proceeds to White Deer Run Alumni Association to aid our community in recovery.

 

White Deer Run Alumni Association

Our financial goal as Hope For Today is to help support individuals suffering from the disease of addiction who are seeking/have sought treatment. The Alumni Association works directly with individuals who have recieved treatment through the White Deer Run York facility during the transitions of entering rehab and/or entering society after rehab. We feel strongly that recovering individuals and their families can live life on a new level of peace and serenity through enjoying sober activities in recovery, that the journey of recovery is a process, and that asking for and receiving help should be accessible to all individuals, regardless of their current financial situation.  We have chosen the White Deer Run Alumni Association because they effectively support these ideas by helping with various things in regards to recovery, including but not limited to: helping to ease transition from inpatient treatment to sober living in "the real world," and holding sober family events such as parties, sporting events, and picnics, to show people in recovery that there are many great things in life to experience when we live clean and serene.

Can't make it out to the event and still wish to donate?

We've set up a YouCaring page to manage donations for Just4Today Sober Living and White Deer Run Alumni Association from people who are unable to be phsycially present on race-day.  If you'd like to donate, please click here. You can also choose to sponsor a runner who may not be able to pay their registration fee. If you wish to sponsor a runner, please include a note in your donation.
